SharkNet2 is a Windows based software application developed by Cassel Messtechnik GmbH in 2009. Customers using this tool can easily document operational data at various control points, including Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) and International Food Standard (IFS) using a central computer.

Economical, remote maintenance is possible with SharkNet2. On site service calls may not be necessary. If a customer needs assistance in setting up or diagnosing problems, Tectronix is able to communicate remotely with the software and the detector through the Internet.

March 2008: Devereaux Sawmill Installs Tectronix Metal Detector

Devereaux Sawmill Inc., of Pewamo, Mich., recently installed a Tectronix Metal Shark system into its facility because its previous detector had become unreliable.

According to Devereaux officials, the former detector was rejecting many logs that were, in fact, metal free. The number of rejected logs was hampering production and the Metal Shark system was selected as a replacement.

“The Metal Shark finds the metal in our logs, marks the exact location and gives us a confidence we did not have with our previous system” said one company employee.
